Certification of Fire Protection Equipment and Systems

The FESC conducts certification of fire protection equipment and systems. Being a conformity-certifying body trusted and recognized in the international level, the FESC has been accredited by Raad voor Accreditatie (RvA) in Netherlands (C324).

Certification of Fire Protection Equipment and Systems

Being a registered certification body, the FESC conducts evaluation of fire protection equipment and systems and certifies that the equipment conform to technical standards.Individual product inspection by fire department in local government shall be omitted by affixing the certification mark on the equipment.

Certification of Fire Cisterns

The FESC conducts certification of fire cisterns, and certifies the conformity to the standards set forth in subsidies for fire and disaster prevention facility.A person to apply for the subsidy can substitute the certification for documents to be filed for application.

Performance Rating of
Fire Protection Equipment and Systems

Many fire protection equipment and systems have been developed with advanced technologies.
The FESC conducts performance rating of the new fire protection equipment and systems other than conventional ones. The committee judges following performance conditions: equivalency to the standard under the fire service act and regulations, conformity to the notification from the Fire and Disaster Management Agency (FDMA), and effectiveness for fire prevention or fire fighting activity.

Recommendation of Fire and
Disaster Prevention Products

The FESC recommends products and IT systems being judged to be effective in the field of fire and disaster prevention.
These products are easily recognized as recommended products by affixing the recommendation marks.
The information on recommended products are notified to the fire departments in local government through the FESC’s website and journals.
